From a James Halliday 4 Star rated winery 2012 with Wignalls Wines being a family tradition since 1952. The 2010 Long Lunch Classic Red Shiraz is a fruit driven style that is made to be enjoyed. The nose is overflowing with sweet cherries, plum, vanillin with undertones of oriental spices and a hint of pepper. A palate of spicy strawberries, dark berries and a soft gentle tannin structure, finishing long, soft and clean.

| The Story: Wignalls Wines have been a family tradition since 1952 and have achieved many awards and accolades over the years. The strong maritime influence of the nearby ocean gives Wignalls an entirely different climate to the majority of the regions in the Lower Great Southern area. The days are cooler, the nights warmer, and the result is an exceptionally long growing season, hence the "Long Lunch" and this is very much a fruit driven wine to be shared with friends and family around the meal table or BBQ. |
