Shiraz

Est. in 1926 and from a 4 star rated James Halliday winery 2012. Winner of two Bronze medals the Blewitt Springs 2008 Cab Sauvignon Shiraz blend from McLaren Vale delivers great length, flavour and balance from the Cabernet, with softness and round palate weight from the Shiraz. Each wine was matured in a blend of American and French oak for 15 months before careful barrel selection and blending. It offers great balance, length and drink ability.

From a James Halliday 5 star rated winery 2012. The Beverford Shiraz represents their "house style" wine, insofar as it shows consistency back over many vintages. This Shiraz is from very old, sixty year vineyards, offering dark cherry, plum and sweet peppery toast, finishing with great length. A great wine year in year out.

From a 5 star rated James Halliday winery 2012. The 2007 Caspia Shiraz is deep crimson in colour and a bouquet of vinous berry fruits. The palate has rich and plummy berry fruit flavours with soft tannins that show a degree of complexity, hints of chocolate and lovely vanillin oak. Very well balanced with good length, depth of flavour and mouth feel.

From a James Halliday 4.5 Star rated winery 2012. The 2008 Haselgrove H Shiraz is deep plum in colour, with aromas of dark berries and a touch of mulberry, cinnamon spice. It is youthful and intense, with ripe plums and dark berries, with great flavour persistence and a fine grain tannin finish.
