Sauvignon Blanc

From a 5 Star rated James Halliday Winery 2012. The Brokenwood 2011 Savvy is from the Orange region in NSW, one of Australian finest cool climate regions. Pale with green tints in colour, with aromas of fresh tropical fruit, lychee, gooseberry, and a touch of "talcum" typical of Sauvignon Blanc. The palate has excellent fruit weight, lychee and tropical flavours with passionfruit and a zesty clean crisp long finish, fantastic stuff!

Made by Nugan Estate winemaker Darren Owers, the 2010 Cookoothama SBS is bright, light pale straw green and this Estate grown wine from Victoria King Valley has a complex, crushed green leaf bouquet, with a very generous palate offering a mix of citrus, grapefruit and riper tropical/guava flavours with a lovely harmonious mouth feel. It is long and zesty with great length and a crisp mineral finish.

From a 4.5 rated James Halliday winery 2012 and a 4 glass rating. The 2010 Haselgrove Semillon Sauvignon Blanc is "Clean well made and hard to be critical of at this price" - James Halliday. Made by winemaker Greg Clack it is crystal, in colour with a pale green straw hue and aromas of tropical fruit, passion fruit, lychees and mango. On the palate it's lively with great fruit intensity, juicy and a well balanced crispness giving the wine great length and drinkability.
