From a 4 star rated James Halliday winery 2012 and winemaker James Ceccato is Head Over Heels with this 2011 Eden Valley Riesling. Harvested late in the season as a forgotten wine! Medium sweet in taste with an attractive mix of citrus blossoms and rose petals on the nose that carries through to a rich and flavoursome palate of citrus flavours in abundance and enhanced by crisp and racy acidy offering a perfect balance for any sweetness.

On the nose there are raisins, toffee apple and honey that are complimented by flavours of orange rind and pink lady apples on the palate. It is mouth filling and rich, with a wonderfully voluptuous creaminess and well balanced by zingy acidity - great everyday drinking by itself or with food and friends.

From a 5 Star rated James Halliday Winery 2012. Viognier is a native of the Rhone Valley and the most interesting feature of this wine apart from its drink ability is its aromas. Lifted apricot and cheery blossom characters with a very slight oak impact and aging on lees for seven months before bottling adds texture to the palate that further displays apricot, its full bodied with great length and flavours that carry to the end and linger, a great food wine.

From a 5 Star rated James Halliday Winery 2012. Harvested by hand, with the fruit being crushed, chilled and pressed immediately. Brokenwoods 2010 Army Block Single Vineyard Semillon is pale green straw in colour, with fragrant talc and lemon grass aromas typical of Hunter Semillon at an early age. These characters continue onto the palate with a zesty citrus note, perfect balance and acid structure that keeps the flavours long and lingering. Rewards are reaped with 5-6 years cellaring.
