Kirrihill Winning Trio

Winemaker Donna Stephens objective was to create a wine that showcases the classic characters of Clare Valley Cabernet Sauvignon in creating this style she chose selected grapes from three distinct sub-regions in Clare; between the Edwards family Ballingarry vineyard in Armagh to the north-west of the town of Clare, the Tullymore vineyard to the north-east of the town of Clare and the Schobers Road vineyard in Auburn at the southern end of the Clare Valley.

Winemaker Donna Stephens objective was to create a wine that showcases the classic characters of Clare Valley Shiraz in creating a full bodied style she chose selected grapes from three distinct sub-regions in Clare; between the Edwards family Ballingarry vineyard in Armagh to the north-west of the town of Clare, the Tullymore vineyard to the north-east of the town of Clare and the Schobers Road vineyard in Auburn at the southern end of the Clare Valley.

The grapes for this wine were sourced from the Edwards familys Serendipity vineyard at Birdwood, Adelaide Hills and 380 meters above sea level. The grapes were harvested in the cool of the night, gently pressed, then given cool fermentation, and lees stiring, adding texture and complexity to the wine. Only a portion of the wine has seen oak in order to keep it a fruit driven and balanced style.
