From a 5 star James Halliday rated winery 2012 and 89 points. Made by Nugan Estate winemaker Darren Owers, the 2008 Cookoothama Darlington Point Cabernet Merlot is sourced from the Cookoothama vineyard on the banks of the Murrumbidgee river. Deep red with purple hues, and aromas of plum and blackberry, infused with hints of spice, herbs and dark chocolate. There are concentrated flavours of red berry fruits, mocha and spice that is followed by silky tannins and very well integrated oak, a true food wine!

The property is protected from rainfall variation by a fully integrated irrigation system including bores and licenses to draw water from the Murrumbidgee River flowing along the Southern boundary of the property. |
