Brokenwood 2010 Nebbiolo
Brokenwood 2010 Nebbiolo

From a 5 Star rated James Halliday Winery 2012. The Brokenwood 2010 Nebbiolo is mid density in colour with purple tints on the edges and an interesting mix of earthy tar and lifted floral aromas on the nose. Like Pinot Noir, depth of flavour is quite separate to colour. It is mouth filling, savoury with sweet red cherry fruit and briar wood characters on the palate giving great balance and length of flavour - Best with food. |

| The Story: Established in 1970, from the three founding partners, Brokenwood has grown to a large and successful partnership (or merry band) of like minded souls, sharing the love of good wine. Nebbiolo is the principle grape variety of the Piedmonte region in NW Italy and this is there sixth varietal from the Indigo vineyard at Beechworth Victoria, as it did not take much encouragement by the Brokenwood team on tasting a range of styles that one of their favourite countries of wine is Italy. |
