From a 5 Star rated James Halliday Winery 2012. Harvested by hand, with the fruit being crushed, chilled and pressed immediately. Brokenwoods 2010 Army Block Single Vineyard Semillon is pale green straw in colour, with fragrant talc and lemon grass aromas typical of Hunter Semillon at an early age. These characters continue onto the palate with a zesty citrus note, perfect balance and acid structure that keeps the flavours long and lingering. Rewards are reaped with 5-6 years cellaring. |

| The Story: Established in 1970, from the three founding partners, Brokenwood has grown to a large and successful partnership (or merry band) of like minded souls, sharing the love of good wine. As the name would suggest this particular vineyard abuts the land owned by Singleton Infantry base and this is the first time that Brokenwood has released a current Single Vineyard Semillon. |
