Blewitt Springs McLaren Vale 2008 Grenache |
|
| The Story: |
| Blewitt Springs 2008 Grenache comes from a vineyard on the coastal side of the McLaren Vale in the area known as Tatachilla. From grapes planted in 1962. Grenache is one variety that produces it's best wines when given the tough life, and this vineyard gets it tough. Growing the vines dry (no irrigation) means the vines struggle to produce low yields each year, bad for profit, but great for flavour and colour intensity. That it does! |
| |
| Varieties: Grenache |
|
| Palate: Cherries, plums and a subtle presence of American and French oak. |
